Election Information

Following positions are open for nomination: 

Vice-President

The role of the Vice-President shall be, inter alia, to:

  • Act as replacement of the President in his absence;
  • Be responsible for elections;
  • Assist the President in the preparation of the Annual Report,
  • Support the president in the formulation and implementation of strategic plan, and evaluation of the activities;
  • Develop and support other activities as deemed necessary.

The expected time that you would ideally require to spend will be 6 hours per month.

Treasurer

The role of the Treasurer shall be, inter alia, to:

  • Collect the money given to the Club for the organisation of activities and keep the book of account;
  • Raise funds for the Club;
  • Produce, once a year, a treasurer’s report;
  • Develop and support other activities as deemed necessary.

The expected time that you would ideally require to spend will be 5 hours per month.

Election process

For the election process:

  • Candidates are given a 90 second time allotment to pitch for their role as candidate
    • Suggested questions which may be addressed in pitch:
      • Do you have any applicable experience related to the position?
      • If elected, will you promote a new initiative? If so, what? If not, why?
      • Why do you think you will be uniquely effective at executing your position?
    • Create a short video (max. 90 sec) and upload it through the link below.
    • After all candidates for a particular position have pitched, an online vote will be held.
    • A count will be done at the end to decide the election winner.
